There’s no denying it – pet costumes are so cute that a person must be pretty unsentimental not to crack a smile when they see a furry friend dressed up. Dog costumes are especially popular because our canine friends seem to be more willing to put up with clothing and hats then their feline counterparts. A pet costume might come in handy for Halloween, but there’s really no bad time to break out Fido’s favorite outfits.
Many of the same costumes that are made for adults are also made into pet costumes, obviously with different dimensions to fit the animal’s body comfortably. Or who could resist a pet costume such as the Tiki Girl complete with grass skirt and faux coconut bra? Imagine a little French bulldog prancing around dressed as an island lady. It would be hard not to smile with one of those around.
Some of the cutest pet costumes are the ones that allow you to dress up your four legged friend as another type of animal. Dressing your dog up as Sylvester the Cat or Tweety Bird is a fun way to celebrate some of your favorite Loony Tunes characters, for example. Or during the holidays the most popular pet costume is just a simple pair of reindeer ears. Of course, Santa outfits are some of the most popular dog costumes as well.
Pet Halloween costumes have become increasingly popular, but there is really not just one time of the year when it is appropriate to dress your dog or cat up in a silly outfit. It’s always fun to put your furry friend into a whimsical outfit and enjoy the cuteness – no one can help smiling in such a moment.
